Imola Red, with those wheels and chrome accents is beautiful... also with that color you could go all black accents and it would look equally beautiful... though there may be a couple other Imola M5s out there, I bet big money yours will be one of a kind for miles around.
I am in the same boat you will be in. I have my M5 already "built just waiting for this deployment to end and head back to the states. I am working the military sales for the Middle East if you want some contact information.

But I'm telling you with the right stuff, the M5 has no comparison. The M5 really is a luxurious Private Jet, the M3 is a nice Piper Malibu. There's no way I'd get an M3 over an M5 unless I was just going to turn the M3 into a track rat and wanted to have more fun on the track, which has it's benefits in some places within America. Also, if you ask me, I think the M5 is the sexier of the two.
What Dave said here is pretty much spot on. M5 is a private jet, while the M3 is a piper Malibu. Based on what you wrote, the M5 would be a better car to fit your needs.

I agree with your Private Jet M5 analogy. But I'd compare the M3 to the Blue Angels. It may not be as comfortable as the M5, but the M3 may be a lot more fun to drive - and I mean every day, not just track day.

You are all over the place! If you are looking at cars of this caliber then you should drive each one and decide which you like best. Don't let lease timing etc dictate what you get. These aren't Honda Accords!

I have driven them. I'm just not waiting six months for a M3. Pretty blown away by the quality of the Mercedes. The interior is a step above anything BMW does. I had a e60 M5. Just wanna do something different.

G6 vs Piper Malibu

Both are nice, but we all know which you'd rather take that weekend trip to Vegas in.

Dude interior is levels above the M5 and dealer is really good near me too they get a 4.9 out of 5 on google rating both our BMW dealers get a 2.1. The service around her alone is a reason to not get another BMW.

I would wait before you buy the e63. As of the 30th of this month there is a recall by mercedes to fix the front end on all 2014 models.

One thing I don't like with the E63 is the interior. Well, it looks nice but it don't look 140k € nice. A bit to flat for my taste even though I really like the E63. I have no idea about your location but E-classes(?) are pretty common over here as cabs and no one except from car freaks will see the difference between a regular E-class and an E63.

That M5 looks sweet with Imola Red and rather special. Try them both and you will hopefully fall in love.

The e63 is 111k sticker, the M5 123k.

Well, go for the one you like the most

Found a cool E63 and a Imola Red M5 on our version of Craigslist, that M5 Imola Red looks absolutely stunning irl.

In a much lighter car - yes. For me, the weight of the M5 just takes away too much of the fun to drive quotient.

Also, I think that the addition of full leather in the latest M3/4 may change our opinions on the relative level of luxury between the two cars.

It's not really Full Leather but it's close. There's no leather on the bottom parts of the doors or the lower center console.

I'm driving my M5 around today and with the upgrades I have done, I'm thinking there's no way on earth the F80 is going to sound as good and feel as luxurious. I've driven 1M's making over 400tq and my M5 is way more fun with the 600+ tq it's making right now.

M5 is a better car overall than E63. The DCT in M5 is great. E63 has a wet clutch which killed it for me. Interior is about the same. Handling M5 is better. Engine in probably equal, but M5 drives and feels well sorted out between engine and transmission, vs e63 felt disconnected. Just my 2 cents

No way. M5 Full leather interior is levels above E63. Leather is cheap in E63, lot more plastic, tiny Nav screen. Less stitching on dash.
