2015 M5 Stage 1 vs Stock Dyno Day

This is our customer's '15 M5 getting dyno tested after our stage 1 flash. The car is a complete daily driver and is running stock hardware with just our stage 1 flash. End result was +133trq/+144hp at the wheel. Torque is limited at 600 wheel to prolong the DCT clutches life as well as to give him a chance of having some grip.

Boost limiter set to 21.5psi but on the dyno, the car only needed 20.4psi to make this power. Very healthy motor for sure.

Is that a Comp pack car? Stock numbers seem a bit low. Strong numbers for a stage 1 with no other mods.

MP is awesome. They're very knowledgable and professional. I had my car tuned there last year and the difference in power is night and day.

What happens when the car heat soaks? Does it default to stock tune where it pulls timing (or whatever else it does) to prevent knock?

This completely depends on customer's request, but by default, with every degree of timing pull due to knock, the computer will cut around 3% target boost. We found that to be the safest/optimal for daily fun car. But we can also remove or decrease these functions.
For example today we ran our 550i at Bimmerfest Auto Club speedway with EVERY safety function turned off at 92F using 10 gallons of e85 with about 24psi (26psi on overboost) and after 2 sessions, the car did not have a single missfire, knock or power cut. That is NOT safe for average user that wants a car to last....but for sure is fun on a track

Is anyone changing out fuel pumps and injectors to run straight e85 yet?

We can run straight E85 on the stock N63tu hardware as long as we stay under 600whp. Anything over that, and we start running out of fuel. So sadly, E85 on stock S63 is out of question due to hardware limitations. Once we have upgraded HPFPs, then for sure we can run straight E85 without any issues.

Okay, thanks for the quick feedback. What do you think the timing is on HPFPs for the M5? And wouldn't the injectors need to be upgraded to flow more fuel?
