Honestly, I'm having a hard time getting rid of the sports car (F80 M3)
I looked at a few X5Ms (Used) that have just not been the color combo I want or have slight damage that would drive me nuts.

I was leaning towards eliminating the AWD and just looking for something fast sporty and comfortable. F10 M5 came to mind, but those are so damn hard to find as well, especially 15/16 with Comp pack.

The GLE 63 seems really cool, but I cant get one in the dollar range im looking for.

I may wait for the GLC63 or X3M so I can buy new and get exactly what I want.

I continue to search though just in case something comes up.

Edit: I also looked at a few Macan GTS cars which I think they are really nice, just too small
I then took a look at a 16 Cayenne GTS. Its sporty but 440hp with its size is not impressive enough for the coin.

A few have mentioned the S6- very comfortable inside and some more modern tech coupled with AWD. Tune it and its badass up to 120 or so...

Huge trunk, I've had adults in the back seat on occasion but otherwise holds a lot of stuff in the back seats---I didn't believe it for years but the GTR is really that good in every way.....comfortable for long trips and city commutes--and holds anything in the big boot. So keeping the GTR for me all year round, getting that new M5 for the wife....

His concern was that it was not comfortable, however when you switch over the runflats to PSS or similar there are considerable improvements in noise and ride....

yes--now have the Michelin S4's on and the ride is improved---but the fact that the trunk is big and useful is a plus for a performance auto.

Yes, The GTR is not 911 small, it has some a decent sized trunk by sports car standards and the rear seats can actually be used to a certain extent, unlike the 911 etc....

It is, without question, an extremely comfortable daily driver (MY2017) summer and winter.

What trim of RR sport should I be looking at? They are all Supercharged it seems.
Have you seen the refresh of the RRS? Some nice exterior changes (was never a fan of the current fog lights) and small power bump, but the new interior looks great plus finally some new tech to replace that old fossil of a system. Looks pretty good.

Our family car is the Audi Q7. It replaced two previous X5's and a Range Rover HSE. Q7 has a functional 3rd row seat. Our X5 had the 3rd row but absolutely useless. The Q7 lack performance and the breaking sucks but again we are not going on the track.

Non AWD I would say look into the Escalade. Wasn't our cup of tea but could work
