2015 M5 changes announced

Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

Lighting package rolled into executive package.
Base price up by $600.
New exterior color (forgot the color name)
Can now get individual interior in full or extended.
No changes to interior color options.
Standard phone + USB removed. Now a standalone option that allows to pair 2 phones at a time.
Order guide coming out soon.

Today from my SA. He showed it to me and gave a printout as well. We were looking for an order guide so we can configure my F10. Order guide cannot be too far out now...

Also night vision price dropped by $300 from $2600 to $2300. Still can't remember that new exterior color.

That was not mentioned in the changes. So i would assume not.

Also, Sirius XM is now installed by default instead of pre-wiring. Those are all the changes in 2015.

I really can't remember which color it was. I was going through color options on standard configurator, and somehow Jatoba clicked. But i can't be sure if it was indeed Jatoba Brown. I will confirm on Monday.

Ha! Real hit was $700 after factoring in base increase. But actually less given the phone prep option that used to be standard before. SA said car can still hook up to your phone if you don't get the option but will lose the read microphone and USB port.

So all in all no real economic benefit except that you get the car soon and mine won't come til later in the year / early next year!

How do you figure?

LED package is $1900. Increase in base is $600. A delta of $1300.
So, if they don't change the price of the Exec pack, it is a difference of $1300...

Math was off - mistook lighting package's price as $1300 instead of $1900. Your numbers are right.

Agree. I've never heard of BMW giving back more value. They are masters of nickel and diming.

Overall I agree. However, in SOME cases... when a manufacturer changes packaging/bundling... there is a POSSIBILITY a consumer can benefit depending on the specific configuration. So, depending on the consumers config, it may benefit him/her or not... again, it's config-dependant.

So, by BMW raising the base price they are automatically making more because you need the base build. Not every single person purchased the LED's though.

Either way... for me it doesn't matter. My car is being built...so it is, what it is.

LED's have come down in price dramatically - maybe they will save money by volume?

My information is from the 2015 spec sheet. It listed all the changes. There was no price increase mentioned for exec package. But again maybe possible that there is a price increase since only price increase on spec sheet was for the base model and non for packages / options.
