Turner Exhaust and Plasti Dipped Grilles
Hey gents,
Got busy on sat and installed the Turner Motorsports straight pipes, What a nice install did it in my friends drive way and took just about two hours. Had a slight issue with alignment nothing a propane torch, hammer and muscles didn't fix. Took about 2 hrs to install, sounds awesome from behind not sure if i'm 100% happy with the sound when rolling with the windows down. Have to let a friend drive it and follow him around!! Then today after cleaning the car I decided to try and plasti dip the side and front grilles. Had a do-over on the passenger side grille, but with plasti dip that's no problem just pull it off. Also had to redo front driver side kidney because of 25 rain drops that came from no where. I also plasti dipped the roof.... I didn't have enough and didn't like how it was looking. Would likely have to pull out the actually sprayer and do the roof. Spray cans were too uneven. Here are some pics. You can also get a glimpse of the Matte White Silverado I plasti dipped this winter. |

You'll get used to it. Two of my friends have Turners and i run E-race, def not comparable to civic lol. I like the Turner, would have gotten it my self if it was out earlier. Cars looks great. Can't go wrong with white and plasti-dip.

Awesome DIY job with the Turner. In the end, if you are not satisfied with the Turner setup, you will definitely like the the RPi GTM.
Also your white M5 looks so good!

Just curious, when you plasti-dip the trip pieces do you remove them or do it with them on the car?

On the sides, I just made sure the honey comb/signal were covered then taped 6 inches around the outside leaving a 1 inch gap on the paint. easy peasy. |

Looks fantastic! Thinking of doing the Turner myself. Can you elaborate more on the sound? Can't beat the price.

The sound is hard to explain, it's unreal loud during cold start up. I started it in the garage this morning and it was thunderous.
Took it to BMW to show the Sales Manager, he loved it. I also got to drive through an underpass and get on it a bit. I love it, now to just find a volunteer to drive it while I listen |

For future reference, the grills just pull out without the bumper being removed. The night vision is attached by a hose and a plug. You don't need to even remove the front bumper. It would have been a lot easier. lol

Looks good Drew,
Bust out the sprayer and do the roof, I have been debating that and clear plasti the rest of the car for the frozen look. Aloha Alex

There's no screws bro.. the grills pull straight out. It takes like 2 seconds. Tabs are strong enough they won't break.

Hmm the DIY said to take out the screws under the hood so you can get behind to push on the tabs. Didn't wanna pull to hard. Will try that when I have to redo them. Thanks

Sick price Sounds mean on startup with some rumble at warmup. Def noticeable low rpm drone under load but its not bad at all. Only issue I had was installer not plugging lines, awesome. Besides that, Great buy for a good product. Lets me know and others around me know that it's serious. Pipes look clean tucked away and just a small glimpse of the tips. Love the startups ESP at work in the garage. Sick |
