ED and gas guzzler tax
Gas Guzzler Tax question? I have signed and paid for my vehicle, and there was no GGT? Will I get charged later how does that work? I pick up my car September 3rd ........my contract has been signed and approved by BMW.

The GGT is imposed by the US government, not BMW. So if you signed a contract prior to the GGT being officially determined, unfortunately that means nothing. The GGT is what it is, and I would assume you will have to pay it.

The same thing happened to me on a e60 M5, the dealer ended up eating the tax.

To the OP, I think it will depend on how tight of a deal you negotiated with the dealer. If the dealer is making full MSRP it may be easier to get them to eat the GGT than if you negotiated something like $3k over invoice.
