2016 BMW m5

Looking at this car, currently in a 15 650gc xdrive- had previous f10 535 but want an M car. Any feedback appreciated. Any major issues or services to look at ? Car had 38k miles. My only apprehension is the rwd as I live in NY.

No major issues of note. You'd certainly want to ensure it has a full and complete service history, and it may also be worth getting a pre purchase inspection carried out by an independent specialist who knows F series M5s/M6s.

These cars do struggle to put the power to the ground in anything less than ideal conditions, so given that you're coming from an X-drive and live in NY you may find that challenging (frustrating?).

Yes that what I was thinking. The new m5 is a bit expensive - maybe the m550 would be a better choice but not a true M car. Thanks for info

The f10 m5 is a great car but the amount of time you can use its performance is very limited. As mentioned above it's rare to get the power to the ground.

I personally would not recommend an F10 because you may find traction issues very frustrating, if you don't mind this then yes the f10 would be perfect, with its extremely good looks it's a nice car to drive around in and have sat on your drive, mine gets alot of attention.

I think next year the F90 will be in the £40k-£50k margin, not sure how that would convert into your currency. Might be worth waiting.
