When does the brake replacement indicators come on and how many mile are left on the pads when it does? I have a estimate for new pads and rotors for the front brakes $2200 and that seems a bit extreme to me. Any ideas would help

I wouldn't trust the indicators, I would measure the thickness of the pad and rotors to make sure its within specs. Also for $2200 they should be able to replace both front/rear rotors and pads.
