Monstrous NEW V10 R8 2017 (Baby Huracan?) vs M5 almost made me hate ///M :)

It's been a while
Well,
I had the pleasure to splurge on a couple of R8 rentals when I was in Vegas for a conference recently and I thought I would chime in with what I think about both R8 compared to M5 and I know apples 🍎 to oranges 🍊 but trust me not that much apart! Same DNA

Well,
The owner of the exotics rentals wanted to get me into the R8 2012 V10 special and I did take it for a few hours around the Red Rock and it was down right terrible experience simply worn out car and I don't know how it would drive if new because it had 50K+ abuse miles but I hated it despite my passion for convertibles and called them up complaining and initially he tried to defend the vehicle but eventually conceded and agreed that it shouldn't be one of their lofty fleet and decided to be generous with me and gave me the key fob for their spanking new Audi R8 2017 with very little Miles on it for same price of the older one to make it up to me (Theh are rated 5/5 for a reason) and said enjoy because a Formula 1 exhaust was one of the mods on that car and he said I would love it!

And boy love it 😍 I did!

I have never ever imagined that it would be that good! Or that much fun!
Night and day difference between this and the dilapidated older R8 V10 2012!!!

I enjoyed it for 24 hours! And still having flashbacks! If it were not for those 3 kids I have I would have snagged one by now!

V10 and its roaring engine 🐯 sound 🔊 !! Indescribable!! I can still hear it in my ears!!

And talk BIG LUNGS to the point that you feel it's like too long and more than you'd hope for of a breath!!! I couldn't believe it!! Last time I giggled this way was first time I drive my Tesla P90D ludicrous!!

When I returned back to my M5 Comp Package with MPExhaust I was actually impressed with how M5 is still almost as fast but sound is not even close but I actually found myself content with how much M5 can make you get close to the feeling you get in a completely useless selfish impractical car for all purposes except SHEER FUN!!

No my M5 is Stock except for the Akra exhaust but BMW folks when they drive it they said it felt Moreno powerful than usual but it has no time on it !!
