Resale Value Internationally

Been reading a few threads discussing the resale value of F10 M5's today in markets like the UK, US and Canada.

Let's get an idea of what they can be picked up for around the world today.

I'll start with the Middle East ( Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar UAE etc )

A brand spanking F10 M5 fully loaded would have hit your wallet with a good US$ 155k price tag!

2014 models I have been told are going for just over 156k fully loaded here in Bahrain and also in Qatar.

You can pick up a 2012 model with 7000 miles on it for US118 from Qatar.

Another 2013 with 11k miles on it going for US$115k.

My US M5 has all options except individual paint and interior, B&O, ACC and rear entertainment. Its sticker price was about US$105,000 and I bought it for about $96,000. Taxes are not included in US prices. They are paid when the car is registered at different rates depending on the state. Taxes range from 0% to about 10% and probably average 6%. In any case, our "all-in" prices are significantly less than the rest of the world.

As many have said, BMW has re-directed a lot of cars to the US market and many dealers' inventories are stuffed resulting in pretty aggressive pricing. This is not a good thing for the value of used cars. I know that many people paid sticker price last summer and with discounts on new cars now around $10,000, I'd guess that used car values are taking about a $20,000 hit.

Australian M5s retail at around A$250,000 - US$261,000. They come standard reasonably fully loaded compared to the US specs that I have seen.

You can buy a used 2012 M5 with 8,000ks on it for A$208,000.
