I've got a problem!

So, I'm coming back from a Lacrosse game this weekend with the wife and 3 year old daughter. Of course there's plenty of traffic at 4pm here in the DC metro area and most people are going 15 over the speed limit except...the people in front on me. So, I drop the M down 2 gears into 5, on the hwy, to make a pass or 2. Next thing I hear...I'm getting sick! Wife's complaining that she's gonna puke. Then I look back at my daughter and she's green. I happen to carry puke bags, so my daughter goes in the bag. Wife's bit..in. Blah, blah.

So I guess I have to change my driving style now, which is pretty tame in my mind. Anyone else have this issue?

You need to get a 2014 M5 so you can keep an eye on the G Force meter to control your driving.

Separately you could ask them to look out the window and turn up the ventilation to create more airflow. Motion sickness happens when you experience motion but are looking at a fixed object and have no wind, thereby confusing the brain.

isn't it funny when you are dating a girl she loves the thrill of speed and never gets sick. suddenly when you're in a relationship nausea kicks in.

Good thinking, I need to add more airflow!

Exactly,

We've been together for 15 years. When we were younger no issues at all. Maybe it's age related!

I had the same problem with my Cayenne GTS but I thought it was maybe due to the ride height. She is in her mid-30's so maybe it's pre- menopause .

Wait. From 7th to 5th caused this? What would 7th to 2nd or 3rd do (my favorite for mustang demos)?

my wife finds lateral acceleration more nauseating than straight acceleration.

Tell your wife and kid to look at the world around them instead of their i-whatever

Seriously though, my kids and wife tried to tell me it was my driving that "made them feel sick"...but the only thing that has changed is that they were trying to use their phones/ipods while in the car. Once I put a stop to that, the complaining ended immediately.

Yep, I had to put a stop to the IPhone usage.
