Question Removing plastic covering of center mirror wires?

Does anyone have any tips or pics? I want to hardwire my V1 via the wiretap to the center mirror wires.

I hate removing plastic panels when I dont know how they're connected underneath.

Thanks.

You simply need to pull it apart. There is a DIY somewhere on the forum, search for hardwiring instructions.

From a DIY I used
Front Dome Light: You have to remove the black cover and you should see 4 holes. You need to use a small flathead and push the clips that's in the L shape holes. (might require a bit of force) And then you just have to pull the surrounding clips around the dome light.

Thanks. This is true, how it attaches. You would have to push on the right half of the housing at the clip locations and then gently pry apart.

You can use a credit card as well to separate the plastic housing. Anyone have issues with the mirror tap wires staying connected to the harness? I'm on my second one because I snapped the connecter pin the first time as I couldn't get it to stay in the harness next to the other wire.
