Received the paperwork, signed and shipped it back this morning. Car is at the Performance Center with delivery a week away. Ordered just over 4 months ago and going crazy with anticipation, so close..

And now the bulleting regarding Delivery Stop for certain models, including the M5 built between May 12th and July 4th. Sigh, hope this doesn't affect our builds, we'll see. I have reached out to my CA.

Can you elaborate on this? Is this a recall?

My production date was April 20th so I hope my car isn't affected by anything.

Man, what a kick to the nuts that is for you guys that are waiting. Especially for those that are doing ED and have already traveled or have non-refundable tickets. That really sucks.

My vin is on the list and I was scheduled for PCD on Tuesday. Hope to find out more info tomorrow.

Well, got confirmation that my M5 is affected and I cannot take delivery until it is repaired. My PCD for Tuesday has been cancelled and thankfully the lease hasn't been processed.

Time to hit the bar..

i'm sorry brother.. who confirmed? dealer or genius, or both?

i'am still very curious as to when bmw is going to start issuing repairs.

I got an email from the Performance Center and my CA almost simultaneously this morning. Genius told me yesterday my car was on 'one of their lists', but couldn't confirm or deny if delivery would take place. Who knows how long this delay will be.. weeks, a month or two?

Hope yours isn't affected, if it is not, you can now DEFINITELY move up your PCD date as there are now several new vacancies.

i wonder if that email was generated because you are doing delivery so soon... I'm scheduled for the 18th, i don't want to get an email on the 11th saying it's a no go. I want to know now.

I just called genius and they said it's not on the list. I'm not going on that though... i don't want to get my hopes up.

you did paperwork already? i'm assuming? i would demand them cover the payments for the time the car is down, NO QUESTION. I'm curious as to how they will handle your situation. (Flight to SC) etc.

Your car is due in Charleston tomorrow, right? Once it hits the VPC you should find out if there are any problems. Hope not, so at least one of us takes delivery soon!

yea car is suppose to hit SC tomorrow, and then VPC saturday. I'm guesssing it won't get to vpc till monday tho.
