Well mine just died on me today, I believe for this same issue. It was running fine all morning. Then I took the family out for lunch, and after lunch it wouldn't start. Starter would crank just fine but the engine would not turn over. After 20 minutes on the phone with a service adviser of trying different techniques to get fuel to the engine I called BMW Assist. They dispatched a flat bed, and while waiting for him I was playing around trying to figure out how to get the tranny (DCT) into neutral. On a whim I tried starting it again and luckily she turned over. Canceled the flat bed and drove directly to the dealer. They hooked it up to the diagnostic and got error codes for the high pressure fuel system. The adviser said it was a "Level 1" fault and the tech needed to have the shop supervisor look over the codes. They're supposed to call me with an update.

The real kick in the balls - I was supposed to do an HPDE event tomorrow at Lime Rock. Already had the safety inspection, break fluid flush and paid the registration fee.
