My luck with loaners continues
My wife took my 530D into dealer today to get alloys refurbed and a few other things before I sell it for M5 next week. As she set off I told her to enjoy the base spec 116.
I wasn't sure whether to laugh or tell her I told her so (or both) when I found this on our driveway. |

I was given a vw base jetta with check engine light on when I had to service my M3 back in 2009. Now I live 5 mins away from a BMW service center so they just send me home whenever I drop off for service.

Listers always put me in there fastest cars on loan
I would not take that home. EDIT: mind you I suppose I am paying for that privilege with the amount of new cars I have had from them.

just wow...
when I get loaners they usually take the plastic off the seats.. they are always brand new 3ers or have under 400 miles on it. can't believe they actually gave that to you.

When my M5 went in for the oil pump recall, they offered me a 328 or an X3. I told them if I wanted a 328 or an X3 I would have bought one in the first place. The least they could have done is give me a 5 series. To top it off they had my M5 for a month.

THe last few loaners I got was a 740i, 750i, x3 M-sport 35i, X5.
I have a good relationship with the guy at the dealer since I bought all my cars from him for the last 8 years and he takes good care of me.

This year so far I got a 2012 3series coupe, and twice a 2013 3 series Sedan. Do we have any choice in getting something better?

I got the M6 GC for the day when my M5 went in for Winters to be fitted with the TPMS Valves, and I supplied the Valves so labour only.
Gave the M6 a good thrashing.

I was given a 5dr 116d sport auto with similar graphics on the sides during my break in service (FOC as I was having some 'warranty' work done ). There is no consistency to what service give me as I have also had a 520d M sport auto recently. If sales are providing a car during service work, then it's another matter.
I have to say that I preferred the steering in the 116d to the M5 CP (handling was not as good during 'normal' fast driving). The body also felt very rigid. Interior was not the best, but was good enough to feel tempted to upgrade the wife's car to a M135i Last edited by Dionysus; 11-07-2013 at 04:21 AM.. |
