It seems Manhart has turned their focus to the M6 now, as in the MH6 S Biturbo. Curious if they are going to do more with it than the M5. The early teaser states over 740hp which seems possible but must be hard on the trans. Anyways a stage I tune would be nice, something to bring the motor up to speed with the added DPs, exhaust and intake.

Cold list you are going to love it at least most of the time. It is like dating and amazing woman, you have to work for it, and at times it's frustrating but boy is it a great machine. Only issue I am having is front steering shake at 85-95

Mike you are making me jealous. Might have to swap out bushings and roll bar from the 2014 (which is what is changed other than software) because I leased mine and have way too much added to it for now. My only comfort is knowing in two years I can always get another one and I have a B7x for a daily driver. Keep me posted when you get it.

Thats interesting to hear Mike, after driving my wife's Rover and back into my F12 the steering feels a little dull to me. This is my first M6 so I assumed they set them up that way intentionally, but from what you said I guess not. I'm with Noushy though, Ive got too much money in mods coming down the pipe already for a leased car so I think Ill deal with the steering until the next one lol!

Not quite sure how you get an invitation. The events doesn't seem to be advertised and some are open to the public, others are not... Try contacting Gustav at https://www.facebook.com/GTBOARD?fref=ts |

Do you know if this still is based on the Noelle/press tune software or if it's PP's own software? I know that AC Schnitzer also managed to remove the speed limiter, only to discover a second speed limiter in the transmission at 320km/h... |

Got back from PP Performance Germany. First we put my Manhart Racing MH5S on the MAHA dyno to see if the power is really there. Well it was less than what they said, so not as much as when they dynoed the car on their Dynojet. I guess the Maha is the only dyno giving true figures.
The car made 706.3 bhp at the crank. Then we took out the Manhart parts, went catless downpipes and installed PP Performance parts and remapped the ecu's again. Car now makes 790.5 bhp at the crank and feels a lot more powerful. So far no cell at all. The 155 mph limiter is gone. I wanted to test if I could go over 190 mph, but traffic didn't allow me more than 180 mph. I don't have official proof yet that the old M Drivers pack limiter is gone (although BMW said it is, since it was downgraded to 155 mph). But 200 mph is a serious speed and I don't want to jeopardise my or anyone elses life. Conclusion: PP Performance created one serious M5 with loads of power, no cell and most likely no speed limiter. |

Tom,
The car made more than 600 RWHP, but I am going to leave it at that. Somehow I always end up in dyno discussion with other people (not with you though). This post is about my car getting more bhp through PP Performance (791 crank compared to Manhart 706), and that it looks like the limiter is off. But in time I will check this. I need to go to Germany for that, so it may take a while. |
