New M5 Owner!

Hi guys just want to introduce myself, currently Los Angeles based and just picked up 2014 M5 ALPINTE WHITE/BLACK interior executive package(car is frkn awesome). So far loving the car but being on the forum lately i am starting to get a little worried/paranoid with all the mainteance(rods/new engine) post ive been seeing. . My car currenlty has 35k miles on it and still under the orignal warranty which expires 9/17, not sure what to expect after.

Congrats man!

I kinda feel the same way - I'm not really that worried about maintenance tho...I'm more worried about warranty. I've seen some posts regarding thrown rods punching thru the block and needing a new motor.

Well i take that back, maintenance ok. but yeh the whole rod thing is tripping me out, but i have been doing a lot of research and found this company called ROUTE 66 that you can add extended warranty. I am definately not keeping this car without some kind of extended warranty, kinda sucks but yeh!

Congrats. Read closely at route 66 in case there's a cap (like 3k coverage max). I'm still looking for my M5 and warranty.
