Gorgeous vehicle...

...but the one thing I don't like about the DCT is the shift paddles. I am driving a 2011 535i loaner right now and, on one hand, I like the fact that the paddles rotate with the steering wheel but, on the other, I find that unless I drive at the 9/3 position, it is awkward to shift. I wish they would extend the paddles vertically to make them easier to access.

My $0.02.

Oh yeah, if that is the Akra exhaust on there, it should be standard. Just sayin.

Thanks for the pictures.

Do the +/- signs on the shift paddles illuminate similar to ones in E6x M5/6?

Yes! Finally, an M5 with dedicated cup holders! I'm SOLD!

I predict the F10 M5 will prove to be a new benchmark in BMW's legend. Not to be too cliche', but the bar has been officially reset. Just an all around win.

I am hopeful that the F30 will follow suit, because I am bitterly disappointed, as are many, with the current E90. It lacks in areas where it's predecessors excelled. Road feel, raw power delivery, design, reliability, ... We need our E46 spirit back. (Thank you for the F10).

Yet, there is hope again BMW.

No video I've seen or heard is a great representative. I handheld a gopro on a hot lap with Matt driving, so I'll listen to that one...but its a deep, torquey tone. I think it sounds pretty sweet with the akra exhaust. Maybe if you think big block vs. small block? It sounds like a big, powerful, modern engine.

The 1M safety car with the Akra exhaust was hot! It was loud, but it wasn't obnoxious. Bad ass!

I was at the race--and the ///M5 sounded awesome.

The 1M sounded even better--it looked great too...I had no idea either car would be there, as I went because of my recent Ducati purchase...so it was a welcome surprise to see them both!

the turbos whine pretty loudly. i definitely like it.
with an open air intake i bet it will sound mean as sin.

as far as the S65 goes, you can't deny the amazing tone at WOT.
however, a buddy of mine threw on a catless setup with an eisenmann race on his E60 M5. at lower rpms, that car sounded terrible.

Sure hits the rev limiter fast...

LOVE the Akra exhaust note on nearly any M car.
