New Ride

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey Everyone,

Just picked her up a couple weeks ago and thought I'd share. I had an E92 M3 that I traded in for this beast which I loved, but always wanted an M5. Thought about the new M3, but just couldn't get over the I6 tt it has; even though it's underrated and very powerful. Decided if I'm going to go turbo at least going V8 tt.

Am loving the new beast. The more I drive it the more I am lovin it! Below are some pics of the car and me and of my baby nephew. Looks like he approves and already wants to drive! (He's not even 1 yet)

Just noticed you in the first pic as it's sideways...

Either you've got great genetics and still get carded... Or you're quite young!

It prompts me to comment that I am shocked at all the 20-something's I've seem on this forum buying M5's. Especially SINGLE 20-something's!!

Hey to each his own. For me, when I was single and in my 20's... the M5 was the last car on my list. But hey... Different folks, different strokes.

Enjoy it in good health.

Thanks Phil. I am in my late 20s and married. Actually looking to have a kid next year and I wouldn't call myself a typical 20 something year old. The bottom line is that I know very well what I'm doing and am not in over my head with this car. It also didn't hurt that I got about an 18% discount on this car. (I know the GM and owner of the dealership where I purchased)

As far as your comment I have to say that I find it a little disrespectful. You assume just because I'm in my 20s that I cannot afford this car or have the privilege to have one like some of you gentlemen here.
The fact is you can't always assume cause someone is young that they don't have their priorities in check.

Thanks for your comments though and enjoy your M5 in good health as well, she's a beauty.

Oh dude... No disrespect. Please re-read my post. I didn't mention ability to afford.

I simply mentioned your choice in vehicles. And simply that I'm surprised so many young guys going for what I also considered a mid-30's exec and up kind of car. But again, just my perspective. Clearly that view is not shared by many and maybe changing drastically.

Sorry I took your words out of context. But yeah I guess all these younger guys feel like I do about the M5. To me it's the ultimate 4 door saloon car. There's just something about a very fast sedan and it's starting to appeal to more and more people. That, plus the pedigree behind the M5 make it popular.

Congrats on the car. For some reason a 4 door is more appealing that a 2 door..
