good bye to BMW M5...

after a year with the M5 i decided that the car is not for me after all. it is a great engineering accomplishment and a 4-door almost supercar (certainly a super fast car) but it is just not for me. not enough road feel and all that...
i attach pics of the M5's successor which i picked up in maranello in the factory last week....
love it.

Awesome car. Out of curiosity, was the M5 for first BMW or were you not happy with it compared to others you've owned?

Well, its hardly a fair comparison. It's like comparing the M5 to a Camry or something. No offense to Camry drivers, of course. It's just a whole different ballpark. In the proper segment, you've got M-B AMG and Audi RS cars. That's about it. My 2 cents.

i also agree. it is a totally different car. the M5 is great in its segment (the best i think), it is crazy fast, monster-torque etc etc...i have zero regrets for having owned one. but it also helped me to realize i am not a sedan person (children out of the house, no need for four seats). so for me it was the porsche GT3 or the fiat 458. the offer from the fiat dealer was so much better than from the porsche dealer so that i could not let it go.

You better get a whole lot of road feel and all of that in the 458. Not a fair comparison but I like your style.

As you can see, I like your decision. I just thought having both is the perfect answer
