Officially for the Akra. Given the stock are just slip on trim pieces I *guess* they would slide on to stock.

Is there any difference between the BMW M black grill For the M5 and the IND black grill (once they have it available)?

It's possible the pipe is a different diameter in which case it may not slip on to stock.

It really is!
I thought it would be expensive but £2400 is crazy money. I don't dislike the stock wheel enough to want to change.

Does anyone have all the part numbers for all of the M Performance Parts available for the F10 M5?

Also, anyone know if theM5 M Performance rear diffuser will work with comfort access or not?

Full list of all M5 part no's here:
http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthr...6#post14818436

There is no M5 rear diffuser, only a spoiler, which will work with comfort access.

I pick up the M5 as ED in March 2014 - delayed to match the spring break for the kids.
But in fact in Europe, I get standard CP exhaust,
When the car arrives in port in Halifax I guess, they are going to install the M Performance Titanium Exhaust at that time, so I only will have it when vehicle arrives in Canada.
Odd?

I noticed on the UK BMW site they have ' mperformance sport brake pads' listed. I'm sure I have never seen these before and I can only presume these are to improve the stock pads?
Anyone know anymore?

Alcantara shift knob? Saw a price for it at end of page 1.
Anyone seen a photo of that?

My wheel with shift lights was installed a couple of weeks ago. However, the wheel has no power to it and so the display and shift lights do not work. The BMW official install instructions are wrong, as there is no connection to power the wheel in the hub. Latest from dealer is they are ordering a cable from Germany which may fix it.

Also at the same time I had the M Performance Pedals (specifically for M5) installed. Neither the manual or auto (RHD) pedal kits fit the DCT version of the pedals. The mechanic got the manual kit to fit with some grinding and drilling but it's not simple. I have a spare pedal for the non-existent clutch pedal. Yet again BMW retrofit kits are crap. So no M Performance pedals for DCT (only option in the UK), without faffing.

As the third bit of entertainment, the dealer installed the BMW official retrofit kit for the rear view camera. They couldn't get it to work. There is no button to press in ISTA/P to code the camera (which the install instructions say there is). I got the camera to work properly by coding it manually with e-sys via an updated VO.

Fourthly my ISTA/P is a version above the dealer's. It's an official registered version not a dodgy knock off.

Fifthly, my carbon ceramics may arrive anytime between now and May 2014.

All in all, sh*t happens, but BMW need to sort their parts logistics system (I hear multiple stories of messed up software upgrades and moves of centralised distribution without parts being labelled) and they need to sort their software.

So hopefully before year end, I should be done with bits - time to concentrate on my F12 then!

My steering wheel now works.

Notwithstanding this is an LCI M5 with the newer design circular boss for airbag, a new Switch cluster steering column was required. This is not mentioned in either the install instructions nor is it included in the kit. The part is £420 (inc VAT) and its number is 61.31.9.301.906 which does not show up in any EPC.

Not distracting. When I took the picture, I had the wheel in setup brightness mode so the lights were on. You can set a target shift revs, and it starts from 80% of the target illuminating 1 light, 85% 2 lights, 90% 3 lights etc.

Depending what you set the target at, you may not see them in day to day driving.

Is it worth the money? No. Does it look cool? Yep. Would I still buy? Yes but depends on price point sensitivity.

If anyone has fitted the Carbon DCT shifter knob trim, how did you remove the stock item? I'm guessing it just pops off, but I don't want to apply force in the wrong spot so any advice gratefully received. The inclusion of a screw with the Carbon piece also makes me a little weary of prying off the wrong part!
