My dream rims...

First off, I can't justify buying a new set of rims as the 343M's in black look great, but boy a set of HRE 300's in satin Black, 11x20 and 9.5 or 10x20 would look awesome, especially if the centre is set close to the edge so not too much dish (the M5 isn't curvy enough for a dish IMO)

Just get them in 21". They would look big enough.

I'm not a fan of 21's, having said that I think they wouldn't look too big given the design of the 300's. I'd go for 20's, I'm in the uk and with our weak £ these are too pricey for me as its really unecessary, but nice all the same

The White M3 is running 19's and I think they look about right on that car so 20's on an M5 for me would look spot on. Looks less delicate and more race to me

Still hankering after a set, just can't really justify £6k, I like but not as much tbh the BBS F1's but they are the same dosh and only 9.5 and 10.5

I've seen some pictures and sizes for Zito ZS05, they look fabulous and are very cheap I think I might be able to get a fitment of 10x20 et30 and 11x20 et30 using a set of 10mm spacers on the front. Not sure about Zito easy to slag off due to the price but non forged alloys from brands like BBS are in the same price point and they are not silly cheap (implying rubbish) they must be TUV approved as they are available in the UK.

Same here. I really want rims but so hard to justify buying some new Hre's. Hopefully someone will sell a nice used set.

Been looking at other options and I'm surprisingly drawn to the Forgestar CF5 I have seen these on an M6 and they looked superb. Wonder if I could squeeze 12 on the back and 9.5 up front they don't do anything between 10.5 and 12 on the deep dish style

Let me know when you are ready to buy rims so maybe we can get a deal on 2 sets as I am in the UK also.

Will do, I am happy with running 15mm spacers on the front, does't look too aggressive, looks great, currently running 13mm rears and will try 15mm for looks and clearance. I will run circa 10mm lower than CP and 20mm lower than stock.

So can work the offsets accordingly, I want room for 275F and 305R

I think these will look superb on an M5 :-) http://www.luxury4play.com/bmw/97832...f5-wheels.html

I was looking at these as I think the color will set of my sakhir orange really well. What do you think and what would be the best offset to get. I am running 265/35 and 295/30 rear. Looking for a nice aggressive stance.

I think they will look great, I have done a heap of wheel staring and the shape and look of the CF5 I think will look stunning on the M5

With stock tyres it will be 9.5F and 10.5R with the CF5 the only other option is 12.0R but I don't know the offset for 12's and min will be 305 I think

For pretty aggressive I'd run et 23F et 25R that's the same as 15mm spacers. You'll have no problems lowered with that, possible to go a little more but only 1-2mm more offset depends on how the extra 0.5mm rim stretches the tyre

If you look at pictures of BBS F1's they are 9.5 and 10.5 but running et 26 and 28 and they are quite aggressive

Getting closer to finalising rims. KW V3's will replace the Dinan coils this week. I just want something more semi track and sportier with adjustability for damping (I personally think the Dinan could are too soft and drive sport plus to compensate)

Anyhow wheels ! I am now thinking 10X20 et30 front and 11.5x20 et 38 rear. I am going to check the internal clearance the external is the same as 15mm spacers which I am running. I will use stock tyres then replace with 275/35 and 305/30

Going to go for BC forged either RS 41,43 and will be unusual and run the high pad options as I think they look better than the low pad deeper dish which is more usual. They look more classic and more race to me. Matt black will be the colouring

What are your thoughts ?!?!
