Is there any more information about how it happened? From license plate obviously it's happened in Saudi Arabia!

Not much info is given at this time but it obvious the cause of the accident is high speed!

Wow!

Look at the roof section! The roof and side pillar has started to separate. You can see the spot weld points being pulled apart. Also look at the bottom portion of where the B-pillar used to be... I first thought they had removed the B-pillar to extract the occupants, but a closer look reveals that there are noe of the signature crumple damage from the hydraulic scissors used by the Fire dept to cut into the body. Also note the piece of wiring coming out of the lower B-pillar post! If they had cut the B-pillar that wiring would also have been cut... It looks like the B-pillar was just ripped straight off the lower portion attached to the sill!!! Also looks like the A-pillar has just been ripped out of the car...

Could the car have hit something that penetrated the front window and then ripped away the A- and B-pillar perhaps?

The drivers side looks quite intact though. Wonder if the occupants used the seat belts.

Looks like the car flipped over several times for that kind of damage to the roof. Isn't this a common problem in Saudi? People being extremely wreckless with high end cars.

I agree that it definitely must have flipped over several times. And then it looks like it hit/catched on something that ripped clear the A- and B-pillar on the passenger side...

Even though I wonder if they used seat belts (very common in the middle east to code out seat belt warning and not use seat belts AFAIK), it was probably not going to save the passenger anyway. Possibly the driver could have been saved, but depends on the g-forces and if something entered the cabin...

Tragic regardless

Actually this happened in Jeddah as I was there last week. The wreck is far from the highway, So i am assuming distraction for him to have driven off the road. Also, in Jeddah, they are extremely strict with speeding now, no more exceeding 75 mph or you spend the night in jail, therefore I doubt speeding was the issue. Seats belts are mandatory and very heavily controlled as well. He leaves two young children behind, therefore he probably wont take the risk of not wearing seatbelts.

Wow. That looks horrible. Hard to believe speeding wasn't involved.

RIP.

Angry

It had to be speeding. There is no way for this car to role that many times and cause this kind of a damage to the roof if he was not going at some crazy speed.

It's sad and shameful that sometimes we don't take into considering the laws of physics! We think these cars are super safe and nothing will ever harm the individual inside that cabin.

Too bad and God help the young two children that they left behind. Both parents are gone in the same time, this is the worse thing could happen to a child........

Definitely speeding involved. Lower speed accidents don't result in this kind of damage. And nobody buys an M5 to drive at 75 mph or less.

This death looks like carelessness to me. Speeding, not paying attention, losing control. We've seen this story before.

Every time I see something like this it makes me wonder if I should trade the M5 for a 750xi or an X5. I will be looking at the new 7 series closely.

The 7 Series still has 445 HP and the new model could add more HP!

I shared everything that was posted on a friends Facebook. A young Lebanese wealthy guy, wife and two young children! That's all they.

Another member mentioned that he/she was in Saudi Arabia when the accident took place, maybe they can share more info.....
