Looking at pictures of the stock M5 exhaust, non comp.
It does not look very restrictive, in fact it looks, like a lot of the other performance exhaust.
The only difference I see is the muffler.
Is there a huge difference between, buying a whole performance exhaust, or just buying performance mufflers.
(I'm only talking about sound not weight)

Is the stock x-pipe really an x-pipe or is it open inside or are both sides separate.

If that was the case, then I can understand, there would be a huge difference in the performance exhaust and stock.

Does anybody have a video clip of catless DP factory mid pipes and, no mufflers.

Your thoughts please...

Thank you,

to my understanding, performance exhaust on this generation of M5/6 only increase the noise level and better sounds, no performance increase whatsoever. The only performance increase is through catted/cat-less downpipes, maybe, just maybe an aftermarket CAI lol. Cheapest way to gain some noticeable power is BMS tune piggy back module then the expensive one at Dinan.

I guess, I was not really looking for more performance, just more sound.
I just got my M5 1 week ago.
I have always thought you could never have enough power, but every time I hit it, there are nothing, but cars in front of me, there is just too much traffic.

I'm thinking I'm just going to have a shop make me exhaust strait pipes that delete the mufflers or just buy turners.
