Wedding idea

I am getting married this October and my fiance proposed that instead of renting a vintage car to pick us up form church we should have one of our friends drive my f10. She is a huge BMW fanatic and loves cars in general so i was extremely happy that she had that idea. Now I need to get some ideas on decorating the car. What do you guys think?

It's not a bad idea but I don't think the F10 design is timeless. 30 years from now when you look at your wedding photos, a vintage Jag will bring a fantasy look to your wedding photos that the F10 M5 would not bring.

Also it's not like you don't have lots of photos of you and your fiancee with your M5.

One last thought - you want a car with a stretched cabin because the photos of you in the back of the m5 are going to look cramped - especially with the wedding dress.

So if it was me, I would stick with the vintage Jag or vintage Rolls.

I think to us the BMW brand itself will be timeless because we have a lot of history that is related to bmw. It ultimately brought us closer together, but i won't get into details.

Tried to find this, but not available.

Maybe too ostentatious but maybe have a custom wrap with a picture collage of the various places/events, etc. with you and your finace leading up to your proposal. Assuming there are places that can actually do a car wrap like they do on a birthday/wedding cake.

Take it from us married guys. When the F10 shows up jump in the driver's seat yourself, lock the doors and haul a*ss out of there!-lol!

(of course, timing may be influencing my reply as I am sitting here on "vacation" at my in-laws. If mine were here they'd see nothing but a cloud of smoke from my tires as I burned rubber from here to Atlanta!)

I was smart enough to move 400 miles away from my future in-laws.

I am a strong believer in "the more smoke the better the show" so that works.

Just ordered catless dp's and will have to install the cut outs before the wedding for some noise makers.

First, let me say "congradulations." That is s great car you got there and I'm sure the future wife isn't bad either.

A couple of idea's for you:

Have a pre-wedding photo (in the dress and tux you are going to wear). Have "Just Married" overlayed on it. Take that and have a vinyl wrap made just for the hood or door(s). The less vinyl the less $$$ and risk on removal. On the day of the wedding, keep the car covered in a white sheet until after the ceremony. Then the best man can remove. if executed well you will get some "ooo"s and "ah"s.

You need to workout some confetti 'solutions' so that (after you get int he car and) after you start the car, it sprays the crowd with confetti from the rear (or exhaust) as you drive away. Get as crazy with it as you want.

I'm sure others will have some more great ideas for you.

Love the ideas, but a lot of people wouldn't understand our love for the brand and would think it's either over the top or we are showing off, but the photo of us is a great idea for sure. Now if I can just find out who does those things.

Lol, evil laugh.

They are not big spenders and would never invite us for family vacation. I will never complain about that part. LOL
We've been together for 12 years so the whole thing is mostly for the parents so they can stop complaining.

Honestly I can't wait till it's over. To me it's a huge waste of money. We can celebrate in so many different ways, but oh well, you only live once.

You are right about that. The $ should go to the honeymoon for sure! Gotta do the family thing though. All part of the deal.

And more truth.

So many things you have to do for/with family which costs $ which would have better spent elsewhere. All part of the deal.

My wife has hired a designer and is ordering all new furniture for the house. Will cost a small fortune. That could easily be better put towards new rims/exhaust/etc. Furniture we have now is still perfectly good/nice. Most of our friends are like - why are you replacing this stuff??

But .. Happy wife = happy life...
