RKP - Carbon Fiber Front Lip Spoiler - BMW F10 M5

The RKP front lip for the F10 M5 attempts to go above and beyond the standard fare of aerodynamic parts available for BMW M cars. Where most front lips simply extend and lower the front of the car, the RKP lip adapts the original BMW design, and attempts to expand on what's already there.

Instead of simply jutting straight from the front bumper, the RKP F10 M5 front lip is designed with BMW's own design language in mind, integrating the crisp lines of the front bumper into the lip's surface. The body lines molded into the front bumper of the M5 are retained in the outside surfaces of the front lip, and move and flow into the front lip's outer surface to create a piece that is visually cohesive.

This F10 M5 front lip fits perfectly against the M5's front bumper, leaving essentially no gap after the lip is installed. Installation is accomplished using 3M adhesive tape, and fasteners that are already present in the front bumper. No drilling is required to install the front lip, and no new hardware is used. The RKP front lip does not lower the M5's ride height as it does not extend past the lowest point of the front bumper.

Each RKP front lip for the F10 M5 is built from 100% 1x1 carbon fiber. Extreme care is taken to ensure that each lip has an excellent weave pattern and alignment, with no misweave or flaws.

RKP - Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser - BMW F10 M5

RKP’s second entry in their F10 M5 catalog follows the same guiding philosophy as their amazing front lip- easy installation and a discreet look that improves over stock without outright removing original body lines.

The rear diffuser of the F10 M5 provides a unique challenge in installation, as the flexible clips interfacing with the M5’s rear bumper must remain absolutely flexible. While it’s possible to have a smooth installation of a carbon fiber or composite diffuser, the nature of these clips makes the proposition very difficult and often unlikely. The RKP rear diffuser circumvents this problem by first creating an ultra thin skin of carbon fiber, and then bonding this skin to an original BMW rear diffuser. More than a simple overlay, the carbon fiber skin used in this application is layed up individually, and then bonded to the BMW part in a special fixture to ensure perfect fitment.

By building the rear diffuser in this way, RKP has created a component that gives the rear of the car a more aggressive carbon fiber look while maintaining exact OEM fit. The original BMW remains in place under the RKP carbon skin, and the fit and finish is second to none as a result.

The appearance of the diffuser follows the original BMW lines exactly, and does not depart from the already effective design of the original BMW part. No extreme fins or protrusions were added, allowing the diffuser to maintain a simple look.

RKP - Carbon Fiber McRae Splitters - BMW F10 M5

The RKP F10 M5 splitters were a true labor of love. More than just an exterior accessory to enhance the look of F10 M5s all over the world, the new RKP splitters allowed us to create an idea that originated directly in the enthusiast community. Although playing a role in the creation of a new part is always exciting, taking a component from an M5 fan’s mind, creating a prototype, and finally producing a finished product has been especially rewarding.

The RKP splitters for the F10 M5 were designed to mimic BMW’s own Performance splitters for the E9x M3 chassis cars, but, with RKP’s usual attention to detail and design the base part is enhanced to respect the original body lines of the M5. Special attention was paid to the sharp crease present in the side openings of the M5 bumper, and a sweeping transition gives the splitter a complex but elegant reflection in any light.

The splitter is available in 1x1 plain weave, 2x2 twill weave, pre-painted in any color and a host of custom options. Each splitter installs to the M5 bumper with double sided tape along the top edge, and by re-using original BMW mounting hardware along the bottom for perfect fit and an extremely secure installation. The splitters are incredibly flexible and light, but are reinforced in critical mounting areas with 12k woven carbon for additional strength.
