I'm pretty sure you can't power brake these cars. You need a line lock then just hit the gas pedal at the edge of the waterbox to light them up.

Going to try to head out to the track this saturday again...any suggestions on how to get off the line? I was on Pure turbos IG and saw that the TPG m4 break torqued for a second before taking off... I KNOW the car has a 10 second pass in it but I have to cut something better than a 1.9...GRRRR |

You are experiencing the same issue as I am at the line. BPM figures maybe the tune still needs some more time to adapt. Basically this is holding me back from my 10 second run. I don't think easing into the throttle will net us better 60 foot times. This tune is slightly more MPH than my other tune, but the other tune didn't have the hesitation, which netted me a slightly better 60 foot which resulted in the same ET but lower MPH. Therefore the new tune is a better roll racing tune which is probably better for everyday shenanigans.

While holding the brake completely down, floor the gas pedal. The RPMs will come up a slight bit. (You will get what was happening when you tried). Slowly back off the brake pedal, at a certain point the car will take off. Now you can modulate the brake pedal to minimize the forward travel. Too much brake and the throttle will cut off, not enough brake and the car will travel too much. After some practice you can just about do a standing brake stand with just a little bit of forward creep.

I have line lock although I didn't use it for launch.... its the tires man, I tell you. You can see the hesitation as I wasn't going for R/T. This was a 1.61 60-foot. Different view: Last edited by allmotor_2000; 11-02-2016 at 04:03 PM.. |

Yeah, the problem is the hesitation is after the tires break the beams.
