Brake caliper chipped paint

Got my winter package put on this weekend and noticed two of my brake calipers got chipped during the install. See pic below. Before the snow and salt start attacking the brakes what's the best way to repair the little paint chip? Just paint over them?

Also I went with 19s and as you can see it's a very tight fit....I mean talking 2-3mm distance from caliper to inner barrel of the wheel so I'll call and see if I can upgrade to 20s so I can sleep better at night.

Let me know your thoughts on best way to fix the paint chips. Thanks.

You need bigger wheels ASAP. Search the M3 boards re: clearance issues with carbon brakes and smaller wheels.

Yes, I went through all the pages and the issues they're having. Lucky I don't have the CCB. I called my shop wanting to upgrade to a bigger wheel and they reassured me that's not necessary. Have done many packages like mine with no issues. I really like the wheels so decided to keep them and monitor the situation...let's see how long that lasts...

I think you can probably buy one of those paint touch up pens from the dealer for the M5 blue - I think it's a close match and put a few dabs over the area. Doesn't look all that big of a chip.

Thanks, yup, that's what I was also thinking and will probably go that route after the winter is done before I switch to the summers. Will give the brakes a good cleaning and touch up those areas...think that should do the trick

Those look nice! What's the colour? Did you paint or powdercoat them!

Fluorescent Green
Since I don't drive the car during the winter I removed all the calipers and took it to a body shop and painted it
