Mine are in the charge pipes from BMS. As I am running pour meth and distilled water I wouldn't see similar issues off gunk build up plus I am not injecting as much or doing anywhere near as many pulls as F10M5manual.

I may look at moving the jets post throttle at the next big service. I will probably machine some brass 'top hat' inserts to push from the inside of the plastic manifolds near where the rubber hoses connect- basicly in the flat areas where I have circled in the images above.

I took out mine after a year of using 100% meth. It didn't leave any colored residue whatsoever. But it sort of 'self ignite' after I lifted off the pedal I believe. The weather here in Asia is horrendous. See the uneven and roughed surface of the plate. Iat went up to 88 degrees Celsius for a split second and lots of errors popped out. I had to replace my throttle body for a new one in the end.

I agree - 100% meth can increase risk of back fire issues. Forget Boost Juice, just mix pour meth with pour distilled water at a 50:50 ratio (which is almost the same as Boost Juice less the 1% colouring additive.)

I didnt know the intake manifolds were plastic.

F10manual, since your TBs are out, why not move your jets post TB? I wonder if you can place a lint-free cloth plug in the intake manifolds, drill/tap for the jets behind the plug, vacuum all debris, and reinstall TBs (removing cloth plug of course). That way, you dont have to completely remove the intake manifolds.

I've heard on this engine, getting the intake manifolds off would require lifting the motor. I'm just brainstorming....

Moving meth injectors to intake manifold is not really an option here. The issue doing so has to do with temperature sensors.

On S63 engines, we have 4 map/temperature sensors, though the ECU only uses the intercooler temperature sensors to calculate IAT that later on will be used in ignition functions. By moving meth injectors after the intercooler sensors, you run into the issue of having charge air temperature much lower then the calculated one based on sensor input. In this case, you are not running optimal timing and will run into major torque reduction.

S63 as well, or S63TU only?

K, I just know the S63 doesn't even have MAF's, so I wasn't sure if this is applicable to me as well. I'll be getting my HFS-4 this week so I wanna make sure I'm installing it the best way possible and I have to refer to what you guys do since I don't know of any X*M's that have installed it yet.

Saw this thread, pretty crazy. I think it's ok to run with Boost Juice but also a good idea to run with pure distilled water once in a while to clean everything out. This is my plan going forward with the water/meth system.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess it's BMS charge pipes then.
