Loss of Power

Would installing exhaust result in any feeling of power loss? I had my Eisenmann exhaust installed this morning and the car does not seem to pull hard like before. Usually about 4k rpm the car pulls very hard up thru the powerband, today is seems sluggish, does not pull as it did before.

Possible that the computer needs to learn the "new" exhaust

Take your car for a spin. I agree - I think the car is adjusting to the new exhaust. Good luck!

I had felt the same way after installing my E-Sport. It felt okay in a few days. Don't know what percentage was psychological vs the engine acclimatizing itself to it. My E-Sport has gotten louder over time, going uphill in 2nd sounds sweet.

No worries
For fast adaption, do some 3rd gear pulls to redline, then turn off the car, wait 30 min (ecus adapt). Then do it again, after a couple of times you WILL notice a big difference in power

Check to make sure the vacuum tubes to the exhaust valves are either sealed or connected properly.

So your car is still "slow"?

It SUCKS!!! Best way to describe it feels like the turbos are not working at all. Very sluggish. Have gone a couple hundred miles since last week, did numerous 3rd gear pulls and nothing.

Not sure what to do at this point.

+1 . Perhaps, take it to another exhaust shop for them to double check that vacuum tubing.

I don't think they can be connected on the Eisemann, so they must be sealed off? Does that make sense? If so, anyway for me to check that?

If the exhaust was used there were a few early samples with valves. Not new any longer. But yes, if no valves they have to be sealed.

I've never experienced a vehicle loosing power by having to adapt itself from only replacing a rear muffler
Something is wrong.
If you installed a JB harness kit at the same time, make sure it is installed and setup correctly

The shop "thought" they sealed them off, they were mistaken, I found the tubes opened. I sealed them off. Will take it for a drive tomorrow, hopefully that was the issue. Thanks for all the help everyone.
