I think you're making a big deal over nothing. At the end of the day, who cares? Go buy a JB4 and reap the benefits over the Dinan. Was it ethically wrong that he backed out? Sure it was. I don't think this deserves it's own thread telling others to stay away from a specific seller. $425 for a $3,000 tune would cause most of us to run the other direction. If it's too good to be true, then it probably is. You're also not going to find a JB4 for this price, unless you're purchasing a simple Stage 1.

The guy that bought it the first time PM'd me and told me it did the huge damage and he sent it back to the seller. The seller just said it didn't work with the first guys car (it normally doesn't with the competition package). The seller said nothing about it causing damage. He also said if there was any problem that Dinan would fix it.

The only way I see Dinan covering any repair costs is if you purchase the tune directly from them and have BMW install it. Dinan sells two different tunes. One for the competition package and one without.

I have Dinan S2 and it was dyno'd recently. It was more than 20 HP. Way more.
