Road trip.
Was headed to the Going to the Sun Road in Montana.
Driving less then 5 mph when a 1/2 ton gave me a love tap! Said he didn't even see me. Not sure how that works in a line of cars driving a walking pace through town. Worst part I will not likely see the car before October due to limited BMW certified body shops in the nearest major town. The good news is the car still drove great and was able to get me back across the border and home 500 miles away. Surprisingly the power trunk still worked despite being buckled open and much to my surprise a few days later and no major aches or pains. Having no experience with police in the USA I was surprised how professional and fast they were able to process the accident and have my wife and I on our way. I guess not to surprising for small town Montana. |

Ouch. From personal experience yesterday (when I got rear-ended), it SUCKS! Just out of curiosity, did your headrest pop-out like mine? I'm wondering how much force it would take to activate this safety feature.

Nope it must not have been as severe. Features they don't advertise that make the difference in the real world.

Glad you are ok! You are definitely right about these features, which hopefully as owners we will never get to use!
