Mine was 21 or 22. I wasn't worried about it.

I think I put 3 - 4 of those on it during my brief 'test drive'. I was totally fine with that delivery mileage.

My E60 M5 was 1mi when I picked it up at the dealer's warehouse.
My F10 M5 was 5mi when I picked it up at the dealership sales lot. Miles are on the car from: - Miles put on at the port, boat, VPC, and loading onto carrier for transport to dealer shipping address. - Driven from delivery location to dealership. Check your window sticker address and google map the miles from the dealer "ship to" address to the dealership sales lot address. Some cars window sticker shipping address is the same as dealer sales lot, many are not. - Dealership valet filling the car up with gas. If there's an excess of miles, then: - Valet had a long drive to the gas station or took a longer drive. - Test drives using your car I request this when my car arrives: - Do not wash - Do not fill with gas - PDI the car, but don't remove any of the interior protection plastic or stickers on the windows. - Do not install front plate Then I drive straight to closest gas station and then home to do the rest of the PDI and detail my car. My dealer ship to lot was 3 miles away from the sales lot that I picked it up at. So upon delivery to lot it had 2 miles on it.

Mine was 300+ because it was an out of state delivery but delivered by a guy in his 60 ' s who was really big and had difficulty getting out of car -
Yet I was reassured by dealership (Because I expressed concern) that was what he did for a living and and when I did math mine probably had 50 miles or less on it before hitting the road to deliver - But heck it is a lease - No issues so far and at 2500 miles now in 4 weeks!! And a lease ... ooooops Projecting from previous experiences I do on average 20-25 k miles per year So i am.expecting to lay at least 3000 $ for extra mileage before end of lease 800$ = 5000 miles

Mileage at delivery
I don't think anyone should be too concerned about delivery mileage. Until the dealer inputs a code via the I drive the power is greatly reduced and the engine revs are greatly restricted. This is to prevent the guys on the docks and ships from racing the cars about during loading etc. I once collected a car from the port and it was scary to see how some of the drivers would race about spinning the wheels etc. BMW's coding system prevents this.
Of course if the dealer inputs the code prior to handover then the car could be driven at any speed. When I collected my M5 in December the sales guy input the code when handing my car to me. 7 miles on clock. |

If they enter code upon PDI and 5 people test drive the car hard then the code does not accomplish it's desired effect. |

At least, that is how it is at the dealership I use. Yes, my car had over 20 miles on it. No, I am not worried about it at all.
