Talking to a few of the recommended CAs like Adrian and a few random ones on the west coast. Based on what I've heard, it sounds like there is more to be had on these cars. Also stopped in at a few locals and they are moving in the same range more or less. Have to remember that these deals don't include shipping or local registration fees, etc. Let me know if you want any more info on the dealers.

Top choice is SO and I'm still trying to figure out who has those and are willing to unload.

Thanks for posting. I just don't see how that's correct. 16 months seems way to long for production when all other BMW's are 8-12 months.
I can't see how you'd start production of a new year when you are still in production of the previous year. Who knows...

Well, the F10 is being retired so I can see how the last MY production runs a bit longer than usual, but just speculating.

Well that makes sense for MY16. I'm pretty sure in previous years the cycle was 12 months like the other models.

With the invoice pricing, I'm seeing ~$87k on a base msrp of $95k per Edmunds, etc. Is that right? I'm assuming that's before any incentives, etc.

Also have to remember that the packages gets marked up too.

Took another test drive this weekend at a local and they were offering me $107k for a $116k msrp saying that $107k was their invoice. I just nod and smile

Brings the monthly to 1,270. Need to get that way down as they have two on the lot!

107 invoice for 116 MSRP is probably close invoice wise; I think ED invoice for 115k MSRP is 102k, just for reference, and that's where options aren't marked up either.

I don't think invoice pricing is all that useful nowadays since dealers will have reserve/holdback on the cars, and whatever other sales incentives in play. If you're a current BMWFS customer, you get another 1k rebate as well.

Dealers won't play much unless you show/tell them of competing offers, so you should look into doing that if you want to find the best deal available to you.

I believe the "wholesale pricing" is about 7.25% below MSRP. below that number is holdback, dealer incentives, etc.

To figure invoice take the base MSRP and multiply by .91%. Then take option totals and multiply by .94%. Add those together and add in destination and gas guzzler and you'll have net dealer invoice. Net net dealer is hard to figure since you don't really know any dealer incentives, hold back, etc etc like someone above mentioned.

Got another offer today:

Msrp: 111,595
Cap: 100,345

Due on delivery: 3150
Mf is .00175 (was told I was getting a great deal off the msrp so they needed to bump up the Mf

Monthly is 1,222.

Interior color is gray which is throwing me off also. My buddy has a gray interior so I'm going to check that out later this week.
Dealer is out of state, so tack on another 1k to get it here.

Still not a good deal but just wanted to throw it out there to confirm.

Thanks momos - any idea on what that *could* be? Is it 2k or 10k?

On your deal above invoice is approx $101,551.xx
So with a cap of $100k it's about $1551 under dealer net invoice.
Decent deal for this time of the year although discounts will get deeper towards August/September.
On the money factor I would tell them to pound sand, no reason you should have to pay more if you qualify for top tier. Maybe their reasoning for giving it to you under invoice is their justification for marking up the MF?? But I'd bet the difference in interest (MF) is close to $1551. Lol

I've had dealers attempt doing the same thing. Nowadays, I tell them upfront I'm not paying MF markup and the only negotiating point is the sale price.

In your case, the MF markup is about $70/month difference. You do pay less tax on the reduced cap cost, so although monthly may be same as another offer with higher cap at buy rate MF, you do save a bit (all else equal). You should look at the overall picture though when evaluating offers, of course.

Another one:

Msrp 118.5 (exec, comp, full leather, da and Bo)
Cap 108.5

Roll taxes, .00135 and 64%
Upfront is 1st month, titles/reg and destination, which is about 3k

About 1,250 per month which still seems high. Thoughts?

Other issue is that it's out of state and would cost about 1k to ship to me.

Called the dealership the other day and shot him an email. Still haven't heard back. I know he doesn't have the white or So in stock which is probably why I haven't heard from him. Leaning towards those two colors now that I've seen them in person. I'll shoot him another note.

Interestingly, I contacted him a few weeks ago and he told me he's starting to turn some of his new business over to another dealer, whom I contacted but didn't really like the numbers

What kind of deal did you get?

One of my buddies contacted him awhile ago and if he has to order, it's 1750 over invoice. Plus you have to wait the 2 or so months. On the recent deal I just posted, it's already at "invoice" which is about 91-92% of msrp.
