apparently my car is in the order bank and the dealer is slated to get actual production numbers towards the end of the month.... is everyone hearing similiar? This isn't for ED or performance center delivery...

My dealer told something similar, although i haven't spoke to them in a couple weeks . They said they should have production numbers, and status updates in june a month before production.

i believe so. I'm not sure how many allocations a dealer would get at a time. i'm thinking the car will be here beginning of august since its in production.. 8-10 weeks.. we will be able to track the progress online

Amazing that only one person on this forum got a production number today. Normally when the the factory starts to deliver allocation, they go to dealers nationwide simultaneously.

Well IMO this has been one crazy rollout. Not much surprises me about any of this at this point.

The amount of hype put out by BMW for the M5 doesnt fit with the slowness and now the amount of allocation . Yes we understand that they don't want to flood the market . However why not at least meet demand that they thru paid deposits?? Is it possible the car at this time isn't ready for prime time distribution ?

I requested this M5 build on May 23rd and modified it on June 4th. The dealer says that he will have a production number by the end of the month. It seems that I am the first in line for the vehicle, so Im not quite sure why the wait for the prod number. Ill keep you updated when I finally get one!

My dealer claims that he has one production number, but has no idea when I'll have mine (I'm supposedly #2 at this dealer). He also said that they have an F12 M6 at the dealer right now. Didn't they just launch that car, WTF??
