One thing I would say is that it looks better in some lights than others. Looks stunning under artificial light, every time I've filled it (which is 3 times in a week so far) at night everyone is looking at it under the station lights.
I've attached the worlds worst photo from a station on Monday, there were 2 people staring at it and for some reason I felt stupid taking a photo of my own car in a petrol station so took it secretly. Crap photo from my phone but shows the colour nicely in that light. It looks paler and stands out less in bright daylight, which is probably a good thing from a theft / vandalism point of view. Btw don't worry about 3 tanks in a week, I have done 800 miles already and the tank is full, economy not that bad, had worse from my old 530i. Should be taking it for break in service week after next, bring on 7500 revs. |

A huge THANK YOU to everyone for your frank and extremely informative replies. Amazing community here on M5post!!! I agree with everyone that MCB is a show stopper and your comments on long term ownership impressions prove that it is time to depart the protective cover of white, grey, silver or black paints for my incoming M5. MCB's beauty really does step forward in artificial light and overcast lighting conditions, thus my affinity for it in showrooms. There was one parked in front of the local Ferrari dealership last night and and under the night lights of the desert sky it was absolutely stunning. I'll be installing the IND cosmetic package (Black Kidneys, side markers and rear M5 emblem) for contrast. Thanks again everyone!!!
