Indeed, thats why I got both. My M5 is still my favorite, but the Porsche's handling and visceral feeling does not compare to M5...as it shouldn't because it's 1300 pounds lighter.

I've never heard of anything like that. Wouldn't have thought that anything like that would be legal, but I presume it is?

Actually, it isn't. In fact, "double belting" is more dangerous than leaving rear passengers unbelted completely. One of the most horrific accident scenes I have come upon in the Fire/EMS service was a double belting situation - and it was not because of the severity of the crash, but the severity of the result. Please don't do this.

One bad scene I investigated at the pd was an unbelted child in their child seat. She was thrown out the window because the seat was not secured to the car. Crushed skull. Not on topic sorry though. Op is correct. D belting can result in serious injuries. Please try to avoid.

Agreed

Double belting is very dangerous

It possibly comes second to having a kid on your lap and the belt around both you and the kid... In a collision the adult will crush the kid...

Well, maybe you drive at a maximum 15MPH, but someone can crash into you...

And in a crash at just 25MPH a 3,5kg sixpack of Beer weighs 212kg, and a 20kg kid weighs 1210kg. If your kid weighs 30kg, the weight at a crash in 25MPH would be 1815kg!!!

And that's just at 25MPH...

I wouldn't have my kids sitting in the same seat belt, even at low speeds such as 15-25MPH
