Anyone drives their M5 in the snow?

Ok, so I test drove the M5 in the snow, and it really impressed me how it is handles in snow. Of course you have to be VERY careful with throttle, but I really liked it a lot. Now who drives the M5 in snow - what kind of snow tires do you have on it? I'm really just few steps now, till ordering the M5!
Thanks guys!

Most people use blizzaks or soto zero's.

20 inch dunlop SP winter sport 3d. Work fine, at lower temps and in the wet. Highly recommended.

I drive mine in the snow.
I have the BMW 19 inch winter tyre set with Pirelli soto zero 255 front and rear.
I did a journey from Zurich to Munich with very intense snowing.
No issues whatsoever.

Then again I love to drive my BMWs in the snow sideways

I do on OEM 19s with Blizzak LM 60s, not daily, but in three storms to date. So far so good.

Daily Driver here in Minnesota, you know the place where a bunch of car companies winter test cars. Driven M5's for 8 winters in a row. OEM 19s with Blizzak LM 60s.

On the minus 20 degree days the suspension gets a bit firm and not much of a snow plow if the over might snow is 4 or more inches, front end is to low.

Best part is doing doughnuts until your dizzy without eating a set of rears!

Confession: after I spent th bucks on a set of winter wheels and tires on my previous F10 550i and ended up with three snowless NJ winters, I simply never took the plunge to get winter boots for the M5. And of course now this winter makes up for the past five years. I am surprised how well the 19" on the summer miche's performance tires work in slush and ice. Pure powder snow is, however, tough. And of course I have to always drive with 4x normal speed reading distance, I.e. If I go 30 mph, I will keep at least a 60yd distance to the car I front of me. Luck me and others that i dort drive a commute. Can't wait until it's spring.

I've been driving my 2013 F10 M5 in the Midwest Snow and Ice Show this year with no problems. 20" Dunlop WS on OZ Cortina Black Rims. The car is servicable in the winter and the only limiting factor is the snow or slush depth. Otherwise the low temps and snow covered roads are not a problem.

I'd actually ask does anyone NOT drive their M5 in the snow? If the answer is no, you have deep holes in your pocket for buying a 6 figure "sedan" and keeping it in the garage for 4-5 months! It has been snowing on and off for over 4 months now here in NJ this year!

This is a family sedan car. It's not a 911. I think if a person is buying this car and drives it for fun 2000 miles a year, big waste of money.

Another perspective . . . you have deep holes in your head for driving a RWD 6 figure car of any sort in the snow for 4-5 months!

Seriously, I drove all of my 5ers in the snow with appropriate tires for 30 years. It's absolutely doable, but certainly not perfect. Between our crazy last two winters (global what??), a client in Vermont and frequent trips to ski country, I'm driving in the white stuff too much now and wanted to take a bit of added precaution. So I added an S4 to the stable. With the Dunlop WinterSports that I used with my 5ers for years, the thing is a tank. And my M5 sits covered and charging in a warm garage.

Yeah you are in a different income bracket I'm certainly not the type who charges his car in a garage and drive another car in bad weather. If I had the financial means, I'd do the same so dont get me wrong.
