I'm betting the M6 steering wheel will be on the LCI.

They must be removing the carbon air filters and leaving the exhaust bypass open for 20 HP. Sounds like a deal to me.

First I've heard of this. Sounds like only rumor to me and not very plausible.
This reminds me of way back when, when there were speculations that the F10 M5 was going to get KERS and Active Aerodynamics like the Ferrari 458 has. As we all know the F10 M5 does not have either of these things. I doubt that the LCI F10 M5 will have a competition package or a bump in horsepower, unless I hear it from the horses mouth myself, BMW.

BMW normally associated the "Competition Package" title to an M car with an upgraded MDM, lowering the car, offering new wheels unique to the package, and maybe introducing a new exterior/interior combo unique to the package. |

Competition package is possible but hp boost may not be the case. However, anything can happen and if there is an upgrade, there is a price to pay. I am not too concerned. Quite happy with mine now and won't be able to afford to do an upgrade anytime soon.

Exactly. But what if they bump up those cars also? Plus, the new X5M and X6M are supposed to get more horsepower. I'm curious to see how BMW handles the M5 when those are released. Unless they're fine with the SAV's having more power than their cars?

I'm perfectly happy with my M5, and smile every time I drive it. I have said in previous post how many M5's are tracked? I bet less than 5%. Enjoy guys
