Supersprints quality is always top notch . But honestly there will be almost 0 difference in sound and performance between the various DP's w/o cats . I went with the Supersprint catted DP's because they offered the design closest to stock but with the highest quality catalyzer on the market the HJS Motorsport 200 CEL. I have within 10% the flow of catless w/o the fuel smell , soot , and CEL

Is the fuel smell that bad? Is there anyway you can get rid of it

There is no fuel smell with the SS catted DP's . No way to get rid of the fuel smell if you run catless. Keeping the windows up helps , but it isn't 100% . I ran a full catless V10 E63 M6 before the F13 . Smelling like fuel after a drive with the windows down isn't for me anymore .

With my 200 cell SS DP's the sound is amazing and the power difference is within 5hp of catless . The only reason to go catless IMHO is cost .

Have you done any dynoes before and after the install?

How long have you had your dps installed for? It'd great info that the sensors are ok with a 200 cel

I am not happy with the local dyno operators in my area , plus there is too much intra run variation on the dyno with this motor in my opinion to be very useful. I prefer 60-130 testing and trap speed in the same location and conditions as a true determinant of performance gains . My car with just the Gruppe M intake consistently did 8.09-8.15 60-130 mph , and was 128mph GPS speed at the 1/4 mile using a Vbox , both with 0 slope and -1000 DA . When the weather permits I will retest later this week . I just installed them yesterday afternoon . Fantastic sound , and the car pulled harder yesterday in 78 degrees /90% humidity ,, than on the -1000 DA day by a LARGE amount. The turbos spool up much quicker as well , would be worth it for the spool up and sound alone .

Just installed last night, no CEL yet obviously . No fuel smell at all though which is a good sign . Won't know for sure if I'm good for several hundred miles judging by other cars behavior. .

K. keep is posted ! I went with a 400cel/300cel Catt to avoid CEL.

I would drop to a 200 if you stay CEL free for sometime.

THis is basically the set up that i'm going to …

i had the turner already, waiting to be installed..
however, still not sure with the DP's.. since most people it will light the CEL,
but once again i don't see any point changing DP with still having the Cats… while its expensive also not max performance gain…

Hi, sorry for entering so late in the thread....I am considering the SS catless as well but so afraid of the smell......would 300cell high flow sport cats take care of the smell..? If yes, were would be the best place to mount them...?

I'm running SS catless downpipes and there's no smell, unless you're standing right behind the car. There's 0 smell inside when driving around or even when standing still in traffic.
