Downpipes

I am looking for the downpipes that would give me the most power, while not loosing the warranty. I also want to make sure that I dont get any check engine lights or any sort of lights on my dash.

you are removing catalytic converters from the car. Even a car produced in the 1980's will throw a CEL when you do that.

Well, we will see what happens when I install my Supersprint DPs with relocated cats. I don't think anyone has chimed in with that set up yet.

You will get an emissions cel , it will take awhile , but it will happen . I have SS catted DP's , the only thing moving further down stream will do is reduce temps some . You'll need the microcats too .
Edit : you are in Canada so you're ECU emissions may not be set to California levels which means you may be ok .

If anyone is curious about how to swap downpipes and why your favorite mechanic deserves his money:

I should right?

What it takes to put our cars together is very impressive, let alone work on them manually in a dim garage with a simple tool box.

See how he tosses out the bolts as he starts putting everything apart?

cool footage:

It looks like a 335. Yea I got excited to watch the video, but realized it wasn't our car. I should start offering dp installs since some shops charge 700-1000 per install.

I could never drive a car that constantly has the CEL on the whole time. I think it would driv e me crazy.
Its not even worth the gain, only 20 hp i believe?

Noelle Motors catted DP are stock DP's with higher flow cats. BMW would not be able to tell so they should not give you any trouble on warranty. No CEL, great sound, and more flow.

Spinny, thanks for the help. I am checking the site as we are speaking. They have a stage 1,2, and 3 but dont sell the DPs in particular. Is yours an add on with stage 2?
