New Member in Charlotte, NC

After 6+ years in my E60 M5 6 speed it was time for an upgrade. Picked up my '14 Alpine White / Extended Black from Irvine BMW (CA) and had it shipped eastbound to Charlotte. Transaction was pretty painless except a little confusion on who was handling the registration paperwork and overpaid sales tax but nothing that couldn't be worked out with some persistence. Truck delivered to a local mall parking lot and time from CA to NC was surprisingly quick of 4 days with other stops along way. Car has Competition, B&O, Executive, Lighting and CPO'd till the end of 2019. Updates over the past few weeks include updating the anthracite wood trim to aluminum trace, reflector delete, black IND side markers, black mirror caps, 35% tint, and Pedalhaus pedals. Loved my E60 but this is on another level!

How do you feel coming from an E60 V10 to the F10 V8TT

First foray into White, have always had shades of gray or blues in previous cars - E39 540 was Anthracite, E39 M5 Lemans Blue, and E60 was Monaco Blue, etc. Had a few compliments so far but I think it blends in a bit more than some of the other colors such as Monte Carlo, S. Orange, etc.

Love it! Like most have said, the F10 feels a bit more disconnected vs. the E60 but that is also due to coming from the manual to the DCT auto. The low end torque really blows the doors off my last one. Lastly, my wife and I just had our first child and she needed to drive it in case of emergencies and doesn't know stick. Forced the hand of getting a different car with auto - it was an easy argument for the upgrade...

Congratulations. I'm in the market for the same vehicle, except MCCB and CF trim. I'd advise getting her XPEL'd, construction along 26 & 40/440 have been killing me lately!

Good luck with your search! Understood on 26 - my wife and I head down to Charleston a few times a year and they are always doing something. I'm sure I'll also take it to a Clemson game sometime later this year as well. Need to figure out who does that type of quality work here in CLT...

Congrats! Made the move from the E60 to F10 as well. This past June as a girl had crashed into my Dinan E60 and it was totaled. Loved my E60 but like you said, the F10 is a whole another level. How are you guys able to upload pics? Every time I try to upload pics (taken with iPhone 7plus) it says the file is too big. I try to compress it and it still says the same.

You should just use a computer to resize the pictures that's what I do most of the time, but I'm sure there's apps out there than can make them smaller.

Thanks! loved my E60 but it was simply time after 6+ years. Whenever at the dealership I would stare at the F10 M5's for a while and knew it would be my next ride.

I resize all my pics using the Paint program from windows. Originals are from Iphone 6, then using paint on my PC, resize at 35%.
