Aluminum or Anthracite Trim?

Hi All,
Wondering which interior trim you all prefer and why? I'm on the fence on the two? I think aluminum looks sporty and anthracite looks more refined/classy.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Carbon fiber for me. My second choice would be aluminum. I have full Silverstone merino interior.

Thanks! Carbon fiber is awesome. The 2 I'm looking at dealers don't have that :/ Thoughts on anthracite or aluminum with black leather?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Aluminum fan with black extended leather. I like the way it highlights the dash and doors with a bigger contrast. Agree with your opinion: "I think aluminum looks sporty and anthracite looks more refined/classy"

Alum trim

Alum trim is the one thing I hate about my car. Just looks cheap to me. I would go with wood, but I question why the m5 doesn't come with carbon fiber stock.

Interesting, I have had lots of compliments on it. Everyone wants to feel the texture. Might just be an M5 thing though. lol

I swapped from Alu trim to CF much better, I really don't like the pattern in the Alu trim would be better if it was brushed.

Are there good third party cf kit available and easy to install?

I have the M Performance Carbon Fiber Interior kit. Quality is second to none as its a BMW manufactured product.
M Performance parts can be added onto the purchase or lease. I would add it on to your purchase and have the dealer install it before delivery.
If you do it on your own you will have to come out of pocket 3k+ + install.

+1 for the m performance cf trim. I got it because it was already installed in the car but now would think of it as a must have in the next car.

thanks! sounds a little steep! but I saw one in person yesterday -- REALLY nice. I'm leaning towards anthracite at the moment - i have it on my car now -- so i was mostly worried about how boring it is to have 2 cars in a row with the same trim...

Anthracite is elegant and pairs perfectly with black leather and M5. I cannot say the same for aluminum.

To pay $3k for carbon fiber trim is insane. But most of us are a little insane flipping $100k+ cars every couple years.

I had my older M5 with Antharcite and looks probably more at home with BMW M5 and I thought I wouldn't care for aluminum but suffice it to say that THE LACK OF FINGER PRINTS all over the aluminum vs the Anthracite is a huge sigh of relief and looks cool in its own right too and I like the patten by the way and I don't like Plain Pattern in Audi!!

Indeed, good sense really doesn't come in to it.
