Don't feed the troll...he has selective amnesia... He never remembers how fast stock tune M5s have run...then when you point him to the many threads...he selectively forgets two weeks later and will post how his 550xi is faster than an M5...

This thread needs to be closed. It has nothing to do with the OP's review of the BMS tune and his gains. I wish badblack was closer. I would love to run him for big chunk of change.

I think the s63 has at least 100whp on the n63 stock to stock? Then if the s63 adds a BMS tune... Game over, lol. The BMS n63 is making ~465whp while the BMS s63 is making ~630whp. How is this even a conversation??

The tune sounds like a no brainer, how long have you been running it? @335iRlz

For at least 3k miles... It's quality stuff but again your just trick under boosting no real remap made to maximize changes.

In short it's worth it, and I've had no issues with it.

I just put a deposit down on an m4 lol

I've got custom stuff in mind with that... I'll tell you more about it later in private but it should be big

And I'm most unhappy with not feeling like 155 is 155 lol if it felt super fast I'd probably be fine and sit tight but after 8k already I've just experienced everything.

The M4 ECU will be no easier to crack , you'll be in the same boat with a slower car . If you want a lighter more nimble car then I agree an M4 will be great fun, but assuming it has huge power potential is wayyyyy premature .

eh I have it on good authority a turbo upgrade will work on that engine + dropping 1000lbs And if it doesn't I'll sell it in a month or two no big deal.

You can't upgrade the turbo's without full control over the ECU , just look at the IND project car . And 1,000 pounds right .... Lol . If you plan on running the car without an engine sure a 1000 is doable .

Agreed. It's going to take at least 2 to 3 years before they have well sorted stuff on the market. Look here we are a few years after the M5 launch and still nothing real. I personally don't have that patience, and to be honest my wife's f30 328i interior is not going to cut it for me, even with better seats, steering wheel and and some stitchingr. The NAV screen is a terd in my book, and a major step down from the M5.
But I'm certain the car will drive like a dream on back roads.

But in the North East where I am, you need all wheel drive, or a truck. Snow tires is just a mess that I can't revisit. Since I have a truck, my next toy is going to be more extreme.

Kyle,
I'm gonna wait for the C7 Z06, which will be tuner friendly and will thrive with pulley tune intake and exhaust. 750hp with 8 speed auto that shifts faster than PDK and I'm almost certain it will feel FAST!!! Not much will hang with that besides mega GTRs and other 500k plus supercars. My old Z06s would pull on ESS supercharged cars when it wasn't heat soaked. Pretty impressive for being well over 150hp short of the other cars.

I'll trust PTF thanks though and like I said if this car sucks its gone in a month or two doesn't phase me one bit

True I'll probably move to that once its all said and done. I enjoyed driving the c7 even though the interior felt like a step back everything else was great.

I just get the vibe the m3/m4 people will want to try and crack given the much larger market compared to a 100k sedan.

Unfortunately Chevy took some pretty big cost saving moves on the new LT4 . The Kmart Eaton blower that is 600cc smaller than the one in the ZR-1 , accompanied by a 25% smaller intercooler does not = 750 hp with a tune and pulley . That shit is pretty well maxed out, unless you're ok with a one pull and done situation . It will not hold up on track like the old ones . And a torque converter auto on a 100k supercar is horseshit . In an interview their head engineer admitted to using it bc it made the drive ability better when using their 4 cylinder deactivation aggressively . Yeah I want my supercar to regularly clunk into 4 cylinder mode .

Remember the car already makes "at least" 625hp with some sort of track overboost feature they mentioned. And I'm sure its underrated...So 100hp out of an LS is not a big deal. Probably pick up 30hp extruding the stock blower and not harm to warranty... Headers another 30hp, intake tune and mild pulley with all periferal stuff like thermostat cooler plugs heat exchanger etc... and there you go
Difference is these guys know and want us to mess with the car. Tadge mentions aftermarket aero several times in the unterviews so its no secret that this is a tuner's car...
And it wont be War Games to crack the tune lol

This is a funny ass thread. All badblack was saying that he wants to run some stock m5s. Yes, some have run 11.4/11.5 apparently and some have run 12.5 with a retarded driver and wheel spin. All he wants to do is have a go at a stock one. There is no comparing the two generally speaking, but in a 1/4 mile, it's possible for the 550xi to win. Heck it's possible for any car to win depending on circumstance. So, someone local to badblack, m5 or m6, stock, just give him a run. Especially now that he is running downpipes and fully exhaust and the new beta jb4 full piggyback tune.

The s63/tu setup is day and night better than the n63. Nobody is saying it's not and if they aren't they're dumb. What is being said is that a modded 550xi will likely keep up with a stock m5, at least in a 1/4 mile with the awd advantage over rwd. Less variability.

The m3 guys used to, and even still do get mad when they get beat by a 135/335. Who cares, honestly. Even the FBO supercharged m3's get walked by the single turbo 335s. Sometimes ///M guys get so defensive, and on the flip side, sometimes non-M guys say silly shit.

This is all in good fun.
