BMW Laptimer App
I just stumbled on this and although there are a few saved sessions & a nice way of comparing two laps, I was surprised there aren't more people using it for drag or circuit sessions?

Doesn't it need the OBD device from BMW?

The App is v good, just open it on your phone & open connected drive and the App is on the cars screen.
It enables a G force meter or the timing. After the timed session is complete the timed session is saved in the car with a scorecard giving lap time & top speed. The full data is saved on the phone giving data overlays for throttle position/braking/speed & g-force linked to the cars position on a map. The only slightly unsettling aspect is that all data is stored and is transmitted if to BMW ! |
