My tires are shot. Evenly worn so not an alignment issue. Just think I have so much torque that I lose rubber often. Front tires oem, but rears second set.. They're going down!

If I can substitute "widest" for "optimal" on stock 20" M5 wheels and assume several track days per year, then I'm currently thinking the SC2 in 265/305 sizes. This is what I'll be running starting next spring. If track days are less important than wear and the tires will see a fair amount of wet weather, then it's the PS2 in 275/305 sizes. My .02¢

Question: WHO IS RUNNING 275s on the front and is the offset fine with 305s in the rear on M5 343M wheels for M5?

I want to get that extra grip

The car has alot of understeer, might want to consider dialing some out with tires a bit wider up front for a track set up.

Ordered on tirerack 305s and ebay 265s. The pricing on ebay for the fronts was too good to pass up on so I passed on the 275s..

Good point about the 275s for the front. Trouble is I don't see a 275/35/20 MPSC2. Am I not looking on the right place? If they exist I will absolutely get a 275/305 f/r SC2 setup.

Theres no 275's in sport cup 2, I was looking into that but not an option. I'm putting on 275 but super sports ,I already got the cup 2's 305's in the rear significant better traction. will post pics once have the fronts on too.

I'm not sure on a stock rim what the offset is in comparison to the M5 rim offhand but I would suggest you ask your local tire store to jack up your car and have a look. With my car on a stock rim I couldn't really see how we could go wider than 305 without rubbing issues.

You can install 315 tire on 10.5" rims but you need to make sure the wheels are not touching the fenders. Are you looking for 315 since 305 MPSS is not available?

Hey Guys,

Just ordered the MPSS 275 fronts and 305 rears for my 20" 343 M5 wheels from tire rack. Sales rep said I should be receiving them by end of January. I have pretty much read all the posts about this and you guys have been a great wealth of knowledge. Has anyone actually ran this 275/305 setup in the super sport for the stock 20" 343 wheel?

I'm pretty sure a couple have run Sport Cup 2s, all I have run is Pirelli P Zeros. I recently spoke to someone who is running R888s in 315s. I will be interested to hear how the 275/305s work out for you!
