But any way the new car is here and I managed to detail it my self.. Here's a few pics of it... And sorry if I offend any one as I know this is the M5 forum... Any comments are welcome good or bad... Well I have only done 100 mile in the new one... But it was much easier to get in car parks and stuff... This just reminds me of my 1M that I had before the M5.... It has not got the luxury of the M5 but it just feels better for my needs..

Was looking at one similar spec to your car m3 mineral white. Boy was it gorgeous. Almost made me tempted to trade in my m5 for it. But I didn't pull the trigger. But I really like the seats and the back of the car.

Cool. Most here respect the M3/4. We all know the deal.

Dude, nothing wrong with what you did. The F80 M3 is a fantastic car in many ways. The big M5 is not for everyone. For those looking for a sportier experience the M3 is the way to go. For those looking for more luxury, comfort, and more space, the M5 is the way to go. Both cars are fast, so it's really a win/win no matter which one you get.

The car looks great. I understand your point about the size and ease of driving. I am having some buyers remorse about not getting one even as my M5 sits in the Bremerhaven port.

Interesting I am looking to purchase a M5 although having always brought my cars in cash looking at leas or PCP or even cash again on a 2 year old M5 any help here would be useful - but also considering the new M3, how’s the M3 for space in the back ? I have kids so would need some space and overall driving experience would you say it feels quicker then the M5? Also what do you think of the deal below, my local Sytner dealer is offering on a 2012 BMW M5 I was thinking to buy it outright or PCP?

I might not be the best person to ask about good deals.... I just lost a small cars worth of cash out of the M5 with only having it for 4 month... I just look at the pay ment and if it falls in what I want to pay then it is done... I know that's the wrong way to look at things but that's just me.... But there is quite a bit room in the back my oldest son is nearly 6ft and he and 2 friends are ok in the back... The boot is cavernous I also have a 12 yr old and think there is more than enough room in the back.... But it was the problem of parking the M5 and leaving it thinking is some one going to catch it when I am away.... Go have a look at one that is all I can suggest before you make the same mistake ...

Was this a while back (few weeks ago?) because my friend bought a min white m3 with red interior from them... appears to be the same car.

wow 4 months I dont want to think about how much you must have lost there!

Thanks for the tips - I had a look at the M5 and having owned a E60 M5 I must admit I was in Love with it but it does look alot bigger than the E60 , I also drove a E63 AMG and that was huge, so really it came down to M5 or M3 Saloon. Does it really feel that big driving/parking considering I am currently in a Range Rover sport - i don't think the size will be to much of an issue but the M3 does look alot better and more aggressive - tough choice .

Yes it was in June. Small world! It had the full
Leather package with the beautiful red stitching on the dash. With the Sakir orange interior. I was one of the first people to test drive it and all lol. It still had the protective sticker on it

dont even look at M5 with no M MULTIFUNCTIONAL SEATS
plus they are asking too much for that car anyway! that car should be listed for 45-46k
how many owners?

Are the m multifunctional seats that good ? The car looks like it has most of the options and has one previous owner . The dilemma I have is I can't get my head around leasing as that works out less if I was to give the car back after 3 years. Do you think it's to expensive then? What would you advise go for a new one on lease or pcp or 2 years old and buy for cash

Thanks

Hi

The 3 series has more room in back than the 5 (I have an F10 and F30) F10 is wider but I load 2 kids in to both all the time and 3 is much roomier.

Weird I know, easy to check at a dealer just sit in the back of both and you'll get it!

Cheers

Thanks for all the comments about the car guys......... Like I have said before I just can't stop smiling when driving it... I wish I could have got used to the shear size of the M5 but I really don't think that would have happened any time soon......... Thanks again

Hi mate, the car I bought from Sytner up in Sheffiled was around 87 new....Had full leather but minus some of the options such as lane departure with 17k on the clock (2011)

Ended up costing me just under £45k (with new MSS all round) so I think there is a bit of negotiation to be had on the price that you have

Your right I went to see the car today and it had just come in the previous owner was part exchanges for a new m4. Told the sales rep it's over price by about 5-6 k he agreed but said because it had just come in I would have to wait a few days as the sales manager wasn't going tongi any lower, anyway he went down to 47k and I said I was looking at 46 said he can't to that and I left it at that and said give me a call if you change your mind. Interestingly I had seen a similar spec in grey colour without rear entertainment for 41k at the same dealer ! Let's see what happens also would you recommend pcp or go for a cash buy I would be looking to keep the car 2-3 years.

Btw they had one new BMW m3 looked amazing very wide and sporty looking bit I'm after a slightly less aggressive look and the m5 wins in that area but awesome looking machine the m3 it looks the business if I was 10 years younger that would be the car for me :-)
