Stock Rims I can go up to 305 from 295, with these wheels (11inch rim) I can go up to 315.

Also wanted to know what you guys think of these wheels in the picture.
at the minimum 305, if you can squeeze 315 without any rubbing go for it

This is real hand laid Carbon Fiber over the aluminum spokes. This is NOT the hydrodip fake looking want-to-be Carbon Fiber.

You can see the details in the two images of the M6.

So basically whats under the carbon fibre is still Aluminum? Lol.
Ok so i lay a 1 mill sheet to give the look vs
Laying actual carbon fibre over aluminum

Yet under is still aluminum. Is almost, almost same thing.

Fake or not if we get that actual carbon fibre look will save tons of money.

If it was an actual full carbon fibre wheel then i would be impressed.

What is hilarious to me, doesn't have to be hilarious to you.

Its not the same, fake carbon fiber doesn't look the same.

I've had fake carbon fiber before, on other cars, cheaper cars.

I couldn't imagine throwing on fake, replicated carbon fiber on my brand new 100k+ car.

Putting a wheel or body part through the "hydrodip process" (basically dipping it into a tank with the hydrodip in it that gets applied to it) versus hand laying real carbon fiber weave on a wheel are two completely different processes with two completely different looks and outcomes.

We choose to do it the right way where if you were to look at the wheels and then look at the real Carbon Fiber aftermarket body parts on the same vehicle, it would all match and not look fake.

We do not offer anything substandard on any of our products nor plan to do so. When it comes to a vehicle of this caliber, most tend to prefer to do things the right way and not do it just to save a few bucks, especially on a $100k+ M5.

i don't think price is an issue as i just came to my hydro dip guy and there is a ferrari 458 rims that are getting hydro dip as we speak.
I am Guessing its just a preference look to others like me and justifying 5-10k wheel sets. although i do have some wheels that i think are worth 10k and some wheels that i think not worth that money.

It's simple man. When you buy a replica rolex that looks and feels identical to the real one. It's still fake. Sure you can fool people, but not yourself.

Same thing here yes you can put up fake carbon all over your car. End of the day you kno it's fake. And if your OK with that... That's your choice.
Me personally I find it embarrassing.

I wouldnt know what a fake rolex is, but you are right at the end of the day its what makes the owner sleep good at night. Wether X spent 7k and Y spent 2k it is what makes owner feel good at night.

Arguing about hydrodipped carbon vs. real carbon fiber... Next up, why plasti-dipping chrome is more cost effective than paint

I’d recommend PMing him if you have all of these things to discuss as you’re derailing his thread. He’s the one purchasing the wheels and is extremely happy with his decision. We should be supporting one another as we’re ALL car enthusiasts with all types of different budgets. At the end of the day, what matters is that we’re happy with our OWN vehicles and mods.

I’m sure you wouldn’t appreciate someone purposely going into your thread about something you’re proud and happy about and derailing it just because their view is differently than yours but then again, everyone has a different mentality.

This is one big issue I see on this forum quite often to be honest and I’m saying this as a member, not a vendor as I myself have an M3 with an M4 on order.

PS - Tell that 458 owner that we could get him set up with REAL Carbon Fiber and not the hydrodip stuff even in the 1x1 weave so it matches his factory CF parts!

I've heard 'we shouldn't play with the wheels on the M' it disturbs the performance of the car. Is this true?
