Purchase Maintenance Plan on 2016 M5 Lease Transfer
Was wondering since the maintenance plan does not transfer on a 2016 M5 if anyone has purchased one for a used 2015 or 2016 or lease transfer and how much was it.
Thanks !! |

BMW does not transfer the maintenance plans anymore on 2015 and above for second time buyers (unless CPO - not 100% sure on CPO but believe it does transfer). You can however transfer the maintenance plan at a cost for non-CPO cars which I believe is $700. You would do that at the time of purchase. For me, depending on the mileage (if low) I would probably do that but sure others have different perspectives. I am not sure if you can transfer the maintenance plan for $700 to cars purchased from non-BMW dealers.

A friend purchased an M2 from a private party, they drove it to their local BMW dealer and were able to transfer the maintenance plan for a fee. I think they called it a 'refresh', not sure on cost.

yup. 2015 and beyond - maintenance no longer transfers. and 2013 and earlier, no more BMW Assist or ConnectedDrive. so 2014 is the sweet spot.
i think the maintenance extension is about $1795 per year. just email/call the finance guy and ask using your VIN. |

Well my 2013 M5 has the NBT navigation so I still get to keep my Connected Drive Services and Assist.
