Comfort Trunk Kick Function

Ok Guys, I have the Vorsteriner Carbon Rear diffuser on the car and took in the car the a week and half ago for 24K maintenance. At the same time I told them I can't seem to get the kick function to work on the Trunk.

Right away they blamed it on the Vorsteiner diffuser, I then told them that's BS and they can take the diffuser off and try the function as well. They said it was a faulty computer in the rear so they changed that and then had to reset my computer.

Just picked the car up last night finally after holding my car for a week and half, I decided to try the feature when I got home and nothing. Tried again this morning and nothing...

Could the Vorsteiner diffuser have something to do with this? I haven't tried taking the diffuser off yet to test. On the service paperworks they said it's been fixed...

Diffusers do affect it, some totally block the system.

Also make sure you are doing it correctly.
Most dealer staff see not to have been trained correctly and show customers the wrong way.

It is not the kick forward that opens the trunk, bu the quick retracting of your leg.

In this video it is done correctly.
Notice he holds his leg near the bumper for a second or two then quickly retracts it.
The the retracting movement that opens the trunk

Diffuser can definitely block sensor. People who are not sure where it is can look like idiots dancing around. It is a quick simple in and withdrawn under license plate. Especially with coding to remove open and close delay and system works great.

CF diffusers block the sensor. This has been verified by quite a few people and the reason I got rid of my 3D design one.

I have the BMW performance diffuser and my kick to open function no longer works, and this is an OEM diffuser. Now the question is what's more important to you, opening your trunk with your leg or having a sweet diffuser.

I thought the vorsteiner diffuser doesn't affect it?

It's the same issue as all others if it's real CF. covers the sensor area and the CF doesn't let the signal through.

It's a known issue with carbon fiber diffusers. I also had the Vorsteiner diffuser but did not have comfort access to try.

I even picked this CF key cover and it seriously killed my range drastically.

VS diffusers > Trunk Comfort Access

mine would work sporadically until I saw that video up top. They key is the fast withdrawal of the foot after putting it under. I can get it to work 100% of the time now when I try it, it was 30% in the past at best!
